Accessibility

The topic of inclusion has been a high priority in our company since it was founded more than 25 years ago.

Back then, we were pioneers in the field of accessible websites, but for some time now we have also been involved in accessible communication in the field of mobile guidance systems. We have now been able to build up a wealth of experience in this area. We also cater for specific needs when designing the user interface and playful elements.

In our projects, we work closely with the relevant experts.

Understanding content

In the botanika Bremen, numerous tactile elements (in cooperation with tactile studios) as well as guided tours in easy language, sign language and audio description can be experienced in a barrier-free way. Even games have been adapted accordingly! photo: Elisa Germanus-Meyer

Guided tours in sign language

We produce videos in German sign language in our in-house studio. We work together with various interpreters.

Guided tours with audio description

In cooperation with qualified translators, we make your exhibition accessible to people with visual impairments. Rooms and objects are viewed on site and appropriate descriptions are provided. If possible, orientation instructions are also included - ideally (unfortunately rarely) in conjunction with a guidance system for the blind!

Guided tours for people with reduced mobility

If the space available in your museum allows, we recommend making at least one tour accessible for people with limited mobility. The route may need to be adapted for this. Information on lifts, ramps and wheelchair-accessible sanitary facilities can also be provided here.

With our content management system and the integrated media centre for central management of all media files, the effort required for such a tour is comparatively low.

In the botanika Bremen, the public can be shown a route without stairs on request.

Guided tours in easy language

Would you like to convey your content to people who are still learning German? Is it important to you that people with cognitive impairments can also experience your content? We work with certified translators and you to create guided tours in plain language.
