Online workshop: Culture meets coding

Oct 6, 2020

CDV

As part of the Coding Da Vinci Hackathon Lower Saxony, we are organising a workshop that aims to draw attention to the pitfalls and opportunities of collaboration between data-providing cultural institutions and developers. It will offer the opportunity to approach each other's thinking spaces and develop ideas together in a relaxed atmosphere.

What framework conditions promote optimal collaboration? What misunderstandings can occur? What influences decision-making processes in both "worlds"? What peculiarities of the material need to be considered? These questions will be answered by speakers who were themselves involved in Coding da Vinci as data providers and developers. The workshop will be moderated by Jörg Engster.

The event is aimed at anyone involved in the conception and production of digital media in the museum sector. It is primarily aimed at cultural institutions that want to open up data for wider use, museum educators and programmers. All interested parties are welcome, even if you are not taking part in the Coding Da Vinci Hackathon.

The dates are Tuesday, 6 October, or Thursday, 8 October, from 10 am to 1 pm.
