The Museum Lüneburg sees itself as a regional museum with a cultural and natural history focus for the Hanseatic city of Lüneburg and the neighbouring regional cultural landscape. The interdisciplinary objective of the museum is reflected in the broad, interdisciplinary spectrum of the collections.
The tour and its exhibition architecture were designed by ikon Ausstellungen, Hanover. ikon won the design competition for the permanent exhibition in June 2010.
Seven sections repeatedly illuminate the role of man as the designer of his environment in changing historical contexts. Even though nature and culture have a reciprocal relationship, nature forms the basis of human existence. The museum aims to encourage visitors to think about forward-looking ways of preserving an environment worth living in, using the Lüneburg region as an example.
For the 30 xpedeo devices that the museum commissioned from us to mark the opening of the new building, we were also responsible for the text production this time.
