The exhibition is built around experiences and memories of 26 immigrants, who immigrated to Osnabrück. It is about survivors of the nazi extermination of the jews in the former Soviet Union and jewish veterans of the soviet military, which live in Osnabrück for about 20 years now.
To fill the exhibition with true emotional experiences, interviews were conducted with the Russian witnesses in their native language. Autobiographies give insights in the memory of some already deceased witnesses.

The project is meant to help bringing today's diverse society closer together by “getting to know” the personal stories of the person concerned.
The exhibition “Einblicke – Die unbekannten Zeitzeugen” (Insights – the unknown contemporary witnesses) is presented in German and Russian language and is open to see until July 31th in Osnabrück.
