NS Documentation Centre Munich

museum

Photos, documents, movies and media stations are telling on four floors the rise and the functioning of the Nazi movement in Munich.

2015

The new NS Documentation Centre, opened in May 2015, offers a central place of learning and remembrance to examine the national socialistic past of the city of Munich and consider the reasons, specific characteristics and consequences of its existence. In a total of four floors the uprising and effects of the NS movement in Munich is depicted in a collection of photography, documents and texts, film projections and media stations.

400 of our media guides provide support with multi-media tours in a total of ten languages. Visitors can also choose tours appropriate to their age and their preferred subjects. There are tours available for children, youths and adults.

Our video synchronisation was applied here for the very first time. The media guide synchronises the various videos and projections within the exhibition lip-synchronised and in the selected language with the corresponding audio-clips on the media guide. It starts each audio-clip in the right place even if the video has already started to play.
